Abigail’s Leaf Prints
School Readers · Level 4
Abigail and Annabel make leaf prints. Their teacher brings some paper and paint.

Abigail puts a leaf in the paint. She presses it onto the paper.

When she lifts the leaf, the print is blurry. There is too much paint.

Annabel rolls a thin coat of paint onto the leaf. The teacher holds the paper still.

Abigail presses the leaf down gently. Then she lifts it by the stem.

This print has clear lines. They can see the shape of the leaf.

Abigail tries again with less paint. Her new print has clear lines, too.

They put the prints on a rack to dry. Each girl has a leaf picture.
