Albert’s Puppet Show
School Readers · Level 5
Albert and Graham put on a puppet show. Their teacher helps make a little stage.

Albert has a fox puppet. Graham has a rabbit with long soft ears.

They lift the puppets behind the curtain. The rabbit’s ears catch on the cloth.

Graham stops and lowers his hand. He does not pull the rabbit hard.

The teacher lifts the curtain a little higher. Albert helps hold the edge out of the way.

Now the rabbit can move beside the fox. Graham makes it nod to the audience.

The class laughs at the two puppets. Albert makes the fox bow.

The boys put the puppets on the table. They want to try another show tomorrow.
