Billy’s Rolling Ball

Billy had a red ball. He wanted to play in the garden.

He gave the ball a little push. Roll, ball, roll!

The ball rolled under the bench. Oh no! Billy could not reach it.

Billy put his hand under the bench. The ball was too far away.

Dad came to look. “Let’s try another way,” he said.

Dad held a long stick. Billy stood beside him and watched.

Dad gently pushed the ball with the stick. Here it comes! Roll, ball, roll!

Billy picked up his ball. “Thank you, Dad!” he said.

Dad rolled the ball to Billy on the grass. Now they could play together.
