Daniel’s Way to the Park
Shared Reading Books · Social Science · Ages 3–4
Daniel wants to go to the park. Dad draws a little map. “Let us find the way.”

“Here is our home,” says Dad. Daniel points to a square. “And here is the park!”

They walk together on the footpath. Daniel holds Dad’s hand. First, they pass the bakery.

“I know that window!” says Daniel. He sees the round bread. “It is on our map.”

They stop at the crossing. Dad checks the road. They wait together.

When it is safe, Daniel crosses with Dad. Daniel stays close. The park gate is just ahead.

“We found it!” says Daniel. He looks back at the map. Home, bakery, crossing, park.

Daniel runs on the grass. Dad sits nearby. “After our play, we can find the way home!”
