Florence’s Clay Bowl: Activities
Shared Reading · Year 1. An adult reads the questions and clues aloud. Children can talk, point, sign or choose an answer. For Jumbled Words, show the matching vocabulary word and build it together; children do not need to read independently.

Tell the story
With an adult, explore a thumb hollow and gentle pinching in age-appropriate clay. Turn the piece as you work. Use a tray for drying and do not use modelling clay for food.
