Florence’s Shadow Game

Florence and Celia play a shadow game. Mum is with them in the park.

Florence holds one hand up. Her shadow has a hand up, too.

Celia steps closer to Florence. Their shadows join on the path.

They try to make two shadows again. Florence takes a big step away.

Now there is a gap between the shadows. The girls can see both of them.

Celia waves, and her shadow waves. Florence waves back.

A cloud moves over the sun. Their shadows grow faint.

The girls wait beside Mum. When the sun comes out, the game starts again.
