Molly’s Little Boat
A story about trying again
Molly made a little boat. “Let’s go sailing!”

She put it in a tub of water. Tip! The boat fell over.

“Oh, no!” said Molly. “My boat won’t float.”

Molly moved the sail. “Try again, little boat.” Tip! It fell over.

Molly looked closely. “This side is heavy.”

She moved the clay to the middle. “Try again, little boat.”

The boat stayed up. Molly gave the water a gentle push.

“You’re sailing!” said Molly. “I kept trying—and I did it!”
