Oswald’s Beach Path

Oswald and Reginald make a trail on the beach. Small red flags lead to their sandcastle.

Dad closes his eyes while the boys finish the game. Then he follows the flags across the sand.

At the next turn, he cannot find a flag. The wind has pushed it flat against the sand.

Reginald spots the red cloth beside a footprint. He lifts it, but the little stick will not stay up.

Oswald makes a firm mound of damp sand. Reginald pushes the flag into the middle.

Now Dad can see the marker from the path. He follows it towards the tall sandcastle.

The boys cheer when Dad finds the end of the trail. Then he makes a short trail for them to follow.

Before they leave, they collect every flag and stick. Only their footprints and sandcastle stay on the beach.
