Rupert’s Train Bridge
School Readers · Level 6
Rupert and Edmund build a train track on the floor. They use blocks to make a bridge.

Rupert pushes the red train up the track. It stops before it reaches the top.

“This part is too steep,” says Edmund. The boys look at their high bridge.

They take one block out from each end. Now the bridge is a little lower.

Rupert tries the train again. It rolls up the track and over the bridge.

On the far side, the track has a gap. Edmund finds a short piece to fill it.

The train can travel all the way round now. The boys make a station beside the bridge.

Rupert stops the train at the station. Edmund puts a tiny passenger on board.
