The Bike with a Flat Tyre

Chris wants to ride his bike. Amy is ready to go with him.

But the front tyre is flat. Chris stops to look.

“We need the pump,” says Amy. Dad brings it from the shed.

Dad puts the hose on the tyre. Chris holds the bike still.

Amy pushes down on the pump. Air goes into the tyre.

“Is it firm now?” asks Chris. Dad checks the tyre.

It still feels soft. Amy gives the pump a few more pushes.

Now the tyre is firm. Dad takes off the hose.

Chris and Amy check their helmets. Their bikes are ready for the ride.
