The Forest Treasure Game
Phase 6 · Book 4Focus soft c and soft g

Alice and George play a forest treasure game. Dad walks with them. They follow paper clues along the path. The prize is a pretend gem.

A clue sends them to a giant tree. But the next clue is gone! George looks beside the trunk. Alice checks the low branches.

They spot a piece of paper by the fence. It is only a picnic list. “This is not our clue,” says Alice. Dad checks his game map.

“The wind may have moved it,” says Dad. His map shows the next place. They walk to a bench by the hedge. George sees a small bag underneath.

Alice opens the bag. Inside is a shiny glass gem. “A magic treasure!” says George. Dad smiles. “You found a way to finish.”
