Theresa’s Windy Photo
School Readers · Level 6
Theresa takes her painting into the courtyard. Alan brings a camera to take a clear photo for her art folder.

She puts the paper on the outdoor table. A light wind curls one corner up from the wood.

Alan looks through the camera. The curled corner makes part of the painted hill disappear.

Theresa holds that corner flat with her hand. Now her fingers hide the edge of the picture.

Mrs Field brings a firm display board and four clips. They set the board flat on the table.

Theresa lays the painting on the board. A clip at each corner keeps the paper from lifting.

She moves her hands away from the picture. All four painted edges stay flat and easy to see.

Alan stands back with the camera on its strap. He checks that the whole painting fits inside the photo.

The photo shows the complete hill and sky. Theresa can add it to her folder without losing a corner.
