Walter’s Hilltop Snack

Walter and Philip walk up a grassy hill with Mum. They carry a small bag of snacks.

At the top, Mum spreads a rug on the grass. The boys sit down beside her.

Walter opens the bag, but the apples are not there. He looks inside once more.

Philip remembers putting them in the side pocket. Walter unzips it and finds two apples.

Mum pours water into their cups. They have a snack and look across the valley.

A light rain starts to fall. Mum points to the path down the hill.

They put their things away and zip the bag. The boys help Mum fold the rug.

They head home together before the rain gets heavy. They keep the snack bag closed this time.
