Vocabulary

Read these five words from the story. Talk about what they mean.

ledger: A book used to record amounts of money.
receipt: A record showing that something has been paid for.
subtracts: Takes one amount away from another.
reserved: Kept for someone to collect later.
balance: The amount left after costs are taken from money received.
