Vocabulary

Read these five words from the story. Talk about what they mean.

flag: A piece of cloth used as a sign or symbol.
pole: A long straight support.
gust: A sudden strong movement of wind.
branch: A part of a tree or bush that grows from its stem.
firmly: In a strong and secure way.
